Day of the Dead Video

The purpose of this project was to create an educational video using Microsoft MovieMaker, a program used to create/edit video presentations, and Audacity, an audio editing system. Below is my video about the Day of the Dead celebration.
For this video, I began by recording my audio in Audacity. I then mixed my narration with 3 different songs (one for each section) with the thought that the change in music would also indicate to the learner a change in topic. After recording my audio, I found 16 different photos/images and dropped them into Microsoft MovieMaker in the order that the narration addressed them. I adjusted the time on each picture to match the times with the narration. I used captions to signal a change in topic. On the title card, I used a black and white effect and on the captioned subheadings I used an edge detect effect. I also made use of pans and fades in order to transition between each photo.
